Community Impact
Social Responsibility is an essential component of our company with human dignity as the cornerstone and focus of our policies. We adopt initiatives that focus on the betterment of employees and the communities in which we operate, and promote diversity in our workforce and a culture of inclusion. We support employee participation through the volunteering of their skills and exercising of their civic duties.
BWC Terminals is devoted to serving a purpose higher than our own through community initiatives, charitable contributions, and by creating innovative ways to increase social responsibility. Through various activities, we encourage all employees to live healthier lifestyles, participate in charity events as well as donate time and effort into advancing the community we serve.
Blakely, Chickasaw & Mobile Terminals volunteered with Feeding the Gulf Coast. They worked on 3 pallets containing a total of 720 backpacks that will feed hungry children on weekends when food isn’t readily available to them.
Corporate office volunteered with Texas Children’s Houston open. A golf event that helps to raise funds for the Texas Children’s Hospital.
The Houston Manchester terminal collected and delivered food during the BWC Pot of Gold Food Drive. Open Door Mission is a drug & alcohol rehabilitation facility.
BWC was a platinum sponsor for the first annual employee Association Charity Golf Tournament. This event benefitted the Boggs Tract Community center in Stockton, California. The community center is open for after school programs for kids in the neighborhood.
The Savannah terminal sponsored the National Navy League Classic Golf Tournament. The Navy League Classic is an annual event to help support education for the public on the importance of strong naval services, to support those in active duty and their families, as well as to support youth programs.
The Baltimore terminal delivered flexibag frames to the Seton Hill Association. These will be used for a community garden. Seton Hill is a nonprofit organization benefiting local community gardens to help build a diverse & vibrant community.
The Hamilton terminal, port tenants, and partners worked together to collect 400 lbs of trash from Port property & parks.
Corporate office volunteered with Texas Children’s Houston open. A golf event that helps to raise funds for the Texas Children’s Hospital.
The Gretna terminal volunteered at a 2 mile run/walk organized by Lazy Hound Racing. All proceeds benefiting the Ainsley’s Angels, an organization that helps ensure that anyone with a disability that prevents them from racing on their own, may participate as an angel rider at no cost. On Race day an angel rider gets fitted for a chair and paired with a runner.

Cincinnati Terminal partnered with our customer to donate laundry detergent and a washer/dryer to Aikens High School in Cincinnati.This donation benefited 13 high school departments in the area.
Mobile Terminal, Blakeley Terminal, and Chickasaw Terminal all volunteered at Feeding the Gulf Coast. Together they packed 10 pallets and 398 boxes for senior citizens.
BWC Savannah Terminal donated fire equipment to Bloomingdale Fire Department. This equipment will be used by the Bloomingdale Fire Department and surrounding area Fire Departments.
The Corporate office participates in Packathon to pack nutritious meals. Meal will be distributed locally, nationally, and internationally through Feed the Hunger.
The Philadelphia Terminal collects and donates 915 pounds of food, about 760 meals, to their local food bank, Philadbundance, during Annual Camp Out for Hunger week event.

BWC Terminals Toy and Bike Drive was a huge success! Together we supported Neighborhood Bike Works in Philadelphia; Red & White Toy Drive in Stockton, Houston Community Family Center, and Star of Hope CHCH News Station & The Optimist Club of East Hamilton and more!
BWC Baltimore Terminal donated 15 steel frames from flexi-bag containers. Previously the frames were sent out as scrap. The materials were provided to students at Benjamin Franklin High School at Masonville Cove to use for various projects.
BWC Philadelphia Terminal Food Drive collecting over 2,600 pounds of food to provide over 2,000 meals through Philabundance Food Bank.

BWC Manchester Terminal donated to The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, supporting, providing safety, and preventing domestic and sexual violence in the Houston area.
